  • The revised Super-Angulon came in 1968 with the introduction of the Leicaflex SL which had no mirror lockup facility and therefore could not be used with the original f/3.4 version.  It is a retrofocus design of ten elements in 8 components and is compatible with reflex viewing and TTL metering, impossible with the earlier lens.  It is suitable for use on all Leica R and Leicaflex models.  The lens hood is attached by a bayonet latch to two pins on the front rim of the lens.  The lens can be retrofitted with electronics for Leica R8.

The focus has smooth drag.  The aperture has nice positive detents. The glass is clear and free from hazing, but has a tiny blemish on the front element.  Overall this lens is in great condition.
